July is an exciting month for Picture Birmingham!

I will have a booth at Party on the Porch at Alabama Outdoors in Homewood this Friday, July 10from 5:30-7:30. This monthly event is a great way to kick off the weekend, and I will have prints, canvases, postcards, and note cards, and a clearance section where you can pick up prints of Birmingham for as little as $10!

Also, a large collection of Picture Birmingham items are currently featured at Naked Art Gallery in Forest Park. Starting on July 17, they will be on sale for 10-20% off, along with many other artist’s great work. The Summer Sale at Naked Art Gallery is definitely worth a visit (and dinner with Picture Birmingham’s friends at Silvertron Cafe while you’re in the area.)

All Picture Birmingham profits are donated to The WellHouse to support the amazing work that they are doing to rescue victims of human trafficking.

The WellHouse rescues and provides housing and healing for women, men, and children trapped in the sex trafficking trade.
Here is an update on their ministry:

They had two new rescues last week that were brought into the immediate shelter. The immediate shelter is currently housing 10 ladies.
They have been blessed to be able to transform part of the downstairs of the immediate shelter into an intermediate shelter for some of the ladies, as at times they have ladies that are done with their 30 days at the immediate shelter but are not quite ready to move on to the long-term program. There are four beds in this intermediate area.
There are currently ten ladies at the long-term shelter. Some of the ladies are working on getting their GEDs, some are taking college classes, and others are working.
