Birmingham At Your Doorstep.
I had the privilege of meeting Sam Davidson, the founder of Batch Nashville, last fall at a social media conference. I loved his idea of shipping a monthly collection of different local products, adored the Nashville caramel popcorn that he gifted me with, and hoped that someday in the future we could find a way to work together.
Now, ten months later, Batch has expanded to other markets, such as Charleston and Memphis, and is also making a Tour of the South, featuring a different southern city each month. Birmingham is the August feature of Tour of the South, and I am thrilled to announce that Picture Birmingham will be featured in this Batch box!
Be sure to check out Batch and sign up for the Birmingham Box to be able to discover fantastic new products from our city!
As with all Picture Birmingham sales, 100% of the profit goes to The WellHouse, so you can also know that your Batch Box is helping rescue victims of human trafficking.
Birmingham: Now Bigger than Ever.
I’ve never understood “real” cameras.
I could use one fairly decently, but never in manual mode where I could tweak the settings to get a perfect picture. People have explained them to me, I’ve bought books, I’ve experimented endlessly, but to no avail. I belong to the digital generation and can make a computer or phone or tablet do whatever I want, but aperture and ISO refused to make sense to my brain. So instead, I focused on mastering iPhone photography.
…Until a couple of weeks ago, when all of a sudden my mind and my DSLR camera bonded.
I can’t explain it to you (yet), but I finally got it. I started shooting in Manual mode and on RAW files, learned how to convert and adjust, and began creating a collection of new Birmingham images.
My wonderful team at Alabama Graphics worked alongside me to perfect these new shots for printing, and I am thrilled to announce that Picture Birmingham now has a new line of photos available in larger sizes! In addition to the widths I’ve always offered, these new images are also available in 18×24 and 24×30, both in print and gallery wrap canvas. This new line of photos feature crisper, more detailed images that portray our city in an exciting way.
These larger prints and canvases are perfect standalone statement pieces, or would be fantastic grouped with smaller prints. There are currently five pictures available in the shop in the new larger sizes with more being added weekly. Click on any of the images in this post to shop now!
As always, 100% of the profits of all Picture Birmingham sales go directly to The WellHouse ministries.
